A £30m new build community hospital, the Redcar project replaced the area’s Stead Memorial Hospital and four GP Practices, providing the community with a high quality facility that acts as a one stop shop for healthcare and contains everything from GP practices, pharmacy, outpatients, two day surgery theatres, endoscopy, paediatrics, podiatry, physiotherapy, hydrotherapies and a 32 single bed inpatient ward.

Each element of the scheme is united thanks to an innovative central hub space design, which anchors the scheme and leads to each of the hospital’s departments in turn, providing a modern, fresh and progressive solution for staff and patients alike.
