Working in partnership with Northumbria University as part of their Higher Education Without Barriers campaign, SPACE Architects is pleased to announce the creation of two new architecture scholarships.
These new annual scholarships will enable two undergraduate students from under-represented backgrounds to access Northumbria University. Our support aims to bring diverse talent into the sector and enable students from the North East to pursue their career goals.
Rob Charlton, CEO of Space Group, said,"At a time when it is increasingly expensive to enter the profession, SPACE is delighted to be able to support students starting their architectural career."
The scholarships continue the progress of Northumbria's successful Higher Education Without Barriers campaign. With support from alumni, businesses, and charitable partners, it provides a range of financial initiatives, mental health & well-being services, and community-based projects, to make participation and progression in higher education more achievable for talented students, regardless of their circumstances. Thanks to generous donations of money and time, the Fund has raised over £2.3 million, created 100 new scholarships, and supported more than 800 students since it launched in January 2022.
