SPACE Architects are thrilled to be working on another Heritage project in Darlington. The scheme is a major part of the Bi-Centenary celebrations of the Stockton to Darlington Railway in 2025.

Local residents and businesses can now have their say on the proposed redevelopment of the Head of Steam Darlington Railway Museum. The proposals intend to develop the existing museum into a world-class major visitor destination before 2025.

David Coundon, Director at SPACE remarked:

“It is a pleasure to work on such a significant project for Darlington. The attraction will, for the first time, tell the full story of the magnificent Stockton and Darlington Railway and breathe life back into multiple listed buildings of historical importance, inspiring a new generation of creators and innovators. We will work with the historic buildings, mature landscape and open areas to create a unique, multi-functional space where locals and visitors alike can learn, play, relax, work and create.”
