Planning Permission Granted for Callerton Academy

SPACE Architects is pleased to announce that planning approval for Callerton Academy has been received, following a Reserved Matter Application.

This 3-storey split-level Academy for 1,200 students will be over 8,700 m², including sports facilities with community use.

The proposal meets the Department for Education (DfE) Net Zero Carbon in Operation (NZICO) criteria - complete with an expansive green roof – and will provide an exceptional environment for students and staff.

As we move into the new year, Morgan Sindall will be continuing with the substantial groundwork and expects to be working on the foundations early this year. Collectively, the teams are looking forward to seeing the steelwork being erected this Spring, which will allow us to witness the new school building taking shape.

Everything remains on track for the construction work to be completed during the Summer term of 2025, ready for the start of the new school year in September 2025.
