As a youngster, Gary enjoyed drawing and sciences at school and so becoming an architectural technician seemed to him an ideal occupation to combine these interests.
Thirty (plus!) years later, Gary’s career has taken him around the UK working in places as diverse as the Lake District, Glasgow and London. His project portfolio has a similar diversity, with his work including converting rural barns and hunting lodges through to major new medical facilities. Perhaps one of the most prestigious projects Gary has been involved in, and which is a bit of a claim to fame, was the design of a property for Queen Elizabeth, the late Queen Mother.
Away from work, Gary enjoys reading, walking and exploring the moors and woodland. Lately he’s gained a new walking companion in the form of a four-legged friend who he’s recently welcomed to the family! When he’s not out walking the dog, you might otherwise find Gary listening to podcasts, doing some DIY or tinkering with grains and fermenters as he’s a keen homebrewer too!
