Associate Architectural Technologist Andy loves the variety his job offers him and finds great reward seeing his projects realised, knowing they’ll improve people’s day-to-day lives.
On days when he commutes to the office, Andy whiles away the time listening to music, podcasts on film and football, and comedy programmes. Outside of work he enjoys listening to live music too – his favourite ever gig was when Frank Carter and the Rattlesnakes played The Cluny.
Music and radio feature widely in Andy’s life. He remembers a radio being one of his most treasured gifts as a child and says if he was to pursue any career other than architecture, he’d love to do something in radio. It’s a little-known fact that Andy himself enjoyed a short stint in broadcasting when he had his own Sunday afternoon show on Alnwick’s community radio station! Back then he’d be heard playing metal/emo/punk sounds but says nowadays, his music taste has expanded and he’s not so much of a music snob!
To keep active, Andy plays five-a-side football with friends for fun and enjoys walking. He’s completed the Hadrian’s Wall walk and lots of rambling routes in the Lake District too.
