Leeds Children’s Hospital

A large scale reconfiguration, this £25m project via P21 required a total refurbishment of existing paediatric and medical wards within two hospital wings to accommodate a new theatre, 9 new wards and outpatient facilities within Leeds General Infirmary.  Carried out while the facility remained operational, a strong relationship was developed with the various ward users in order to establish a scheme design to suit their specific clinical requirements, be tailored to patient and staffing needs, adhere to the limitations and restrictions of the existing building and, above all, be child friendly.
